Job Title: Claims Adjuster - US Property Binders Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team as a US Property Binders Specialist. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of US Property Binders claims across various classes of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Handling: Act within an agreed claims handling authority and uphold departmental objectives.
- First Notifications and Updates: Receive and act upon first notifications and updates, determining coverage.
- Policyholder Engagement: Take a fair and proportionate approach towards policyholders.
- Claims Agreement: Agree valid claims.
- Reserve Management: Establish and maintain reserves.
- Negotiations: Carry out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required.
- Electronic Claims Handling: Handle claims electronically predominately via market systems and DocoSoft.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience of handling Direct and Facultative Reinsurance Claims in the classes of Downstream Energy & Power, Construction, Political Violence & Terror, and Property including Binders / Lineslips.
- Skills: The ability to handle major claims through the discovery and dispute resolution processes, and being able to manage multiple claims in their class of business within multiple jurisdictions simultaneously.
