  • Be a crucial member of the team working alongside leaders to shape and enhance the Clinical Negligence practice.
  • Gain significant exposure by working with and supporting a Partner and several Paralegals.
  • Manage your own caseload and build a portfolio that will enhance your career in the Leicester/East Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

Our Clinical Negligence team handles claims resulting from healthcare professionals acting contrary to our clients' health interests. We support clients who have experienced physical, mental, or financial loss due to this negligence, guiding them through the initial investigation of their claims and navigating the pre-action and post-issue stages of County and High Court litigation. We also frequently attend client inquests. Our specialized team has managed thousands of claims against hospital trusts, private healthcare providers, care homes, individual GPs, and dentists, addressing a variety of injuries from minor to severe, with particular expertise in fatal claims, industrial disease cases, amputations, brain injuries, and multiple injuries.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical negligence cases, including issued claims.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling both complex and straightforward claims.
  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • Commercial awareness.

  • A high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
