We are seeking a driven marketing professional to take on the role of Marketing Lead within Economist Impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aimed at generating sponsorship and delegate revenue for our extensive events portfolio.

This position offers a unique chance to be part of a forward-thinking and dynamic team with ambitious growth targets for the upcoming financial year. The ideal candidate will possess strategic acumen, the ability to analyze data for informed decision-making, and a proven history of driving sponsorship revenue and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities

Your contributions will include:

  • Formulating effective marketing strategies to attract sponsorship leads and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the sales department to create marketing initiatives that drive lead generation and attendee registration.
  • Planning and executing multichannel marketing campaigns to generate and nurture leads through various channels, including web, email, print, telemarketing, social media, and PPC.
  • Developing marketing materials and sales support documents.
  • Overseeing budgets, providing accurate forecasts, and contributing to the budget-setting process.
  • Managing relationships with external media outlets and industry associations.
  • Crafting content for all marketing materials, including emails, digital ads, press releases, and social media posts, tailored to the target audience.
  • Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance to measure effectiveness and provide insights on customer behavior and engagement trends.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including sponsorship, programming, operations, and design, to establish shared goals and activities.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and lead generation, preferably within the conference and events sector.
  • Proven track record of working alongside sales teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance sponsorship revenue.
  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional writing skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • An analytical mindset, utilizing data to inform decisions.
  • A creative approach with a keen interest in industry trends.
  • Self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Experience with marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Eloqua, Salesforce, Cvent, or similar tools, along with website editing tools like WordPress.
  • A drive to explore innovative marketing tactics and optimize existing channels.
  • A commercially focused mindset with a strong motivation to exceed objectives.
