Job Summary

Canonical is seeking an experienced Events Marketing Strategist to develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy across EMEA and Americas. This role requires close collaboration with regional Sales Teams, Partner & Alliances Teams, Product Marketing Teams, Design Teams, and other Marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a list of events Canonical should participate in, based on primary research and input from team members.
  • Set relevant KPIs to measure individual event effectiveness and justify spend.
  • Source best possible deals to maximize visibility and minimize costs.
  • Provide full logistical support to all events globally, with occasional travel to major events.
  • Be responsible for event budget planning and execution, constantly monitoring and adjusting it accordingly.
  • Create systems to measurably improve event effectiveness over time.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B events organization (trade shows, customer events, webinars).
  • Excellent academic results, with a Bachelor's or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Hands-on mindset and a passion for experimentation.
  • Growth mindset - enthusiasm for challenges and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Objectivity and openness to others' views while continuously building a positive team spirit.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
