Role Overview

In the position of Unified Communications Systems Administrator, you will work closely with our practices, partners, team members, and service providers to oversee our existing telephony services and facilitate the transition of our analogue clients to appropriate digital solutions. This role offers the chance to innovate our operational methods and contribute to our ongoing expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HQ teams and Practice Partners to provide support for all telecommunications and UC-related issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships with key service providers, including both on-premises and cloud services.
  • Lead critical incident management efforts, ensuring prompt restoration of services and implementing root cause fixes and preventive measures.
  • Engage with service providers through necessary portals to raise and escalate support inquiries until resolution.
  • Assess current provisions and make informed technical and commercial recommendations for replacements and upgrades.
  • Partner with practice partners to transition on-premises telephony systems to cloud-based solutions.
  • Stay informed about digital switchover initiatives, such as exchange closures.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies that could enhance business operations.
  • Adapt to changing work priorities and undertake additional duties as needed to ensure the effective functioning of services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a customer-oriented team player with excellent communication abilities. You will possess extensive knowledge of telephony and UC solutions, with a knack for resolving issues and proposing forward-thinking solutions. Experience in assessing needs, articulating technical details to non-technical audiences, and understanding operational requirements is essential. Previous roles in account management or sales within the telecommunications sector would be advantageous.
