Role Overview

As a Telecommunications (Unified Communications) Administrator, you will work closely with our practices, partners, team members, and service providers to oversee our existing telephony services and facilitate the transition of our analogue clients to appropriate digital solutions. This role offers the chance to continuously innovate our operational methods and contribute to our ongoing expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HQ teams and Practice Partners to provide support for all telecommunications and UC-related issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships with key service providers, including both on-premises and cloud services.
  • Lead critical incident management efforts, coordinating necessary actions to restore services and implement root cause fixes and preventative measures.
  • Engage with service providers, utilizing portals as needed, to raise and escalate support inquiries until resolution.
  • Assess current provisions and make suitable technical and commercial recommendations for upgrades and replacements.
  • Partner with practice partners to transition on-premises telephony services to cloud-based solutions.
  • Stay informed about digital switchover initiatives (e.g., exchange closures).
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies that could benefit the organization.
  • Adapt to changes in work priorities and undertake additional duties as necessary to ensure effective service operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a customer-oriented team player with excellent communication abilities. You should possess extensive knowledge of telephony and UC solutions, with a knack for resolving issues and proposing forward-thinking solutions. Experience in assessing needs, articulating technical details to non-technical audiences, and understanding the significance of meeting operational requirements is essential. Previous roles as an account manager or sales executive within the telecommunications sector would be advantageous.
