Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Musculoskeletal Services Manager at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic vision, leadership, and operational oversight for MSK Services across the three MSK disciplines: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry, in both community and acute environments, collaborating closely with the Orthotics Service Manager.
  • Lead initiatives to implement service development goals and adapt to national policies as directed by the AHP Senior Manager.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and practice among the three professions, in consultation with the Orthotics Service Manager, to achieve targeted outcomes aligned with development plans and performance metrics.
  • Work in partnership with MSK Team Leads to fulfill the objectives of the HSCP strategic plan.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Registered professional qualification in one of the MSK disciplines – Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Orthotics, and registration with HCPC.
  • Demonstrated evidence of relevant post-registration education and leadership training.
  • Proven track record of maintaining and enhancing personal competency through Continuing Professional Development activities and a comprehensive portfolio reflecting personal growth.
  • Extensive postgraduate experience as an MSK clinician, predominantly at a highly specialized clinical level.
  • Current registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and compliance with continuous professional development requirements, including a detailed record of CPD activities relevant to MSK.

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Driving License: A valid driving license and car ownership are essential for this role.
