Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership and operational management for MSK Services across the 3 MSK professions, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry, within both community and acute settings.
  • Lead the delivery of a Service development agenda, responding to national policy as directed by the AHP Senior Manager.
  • Foster effective working relationships and practice across the 3 professions, in consultation with the Orthotics Service Manager, to achieve required outcomes in line with development plans and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with MSK Team Leads to achieve the objectives of the HSCP strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Registered professional qualification in one of the MSK professions – Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Orthotics, and HCPC registered.
  • Evidence of relevant post-registration education and leadership development.
  • Evidence of maintaining and improving own competency to practice through Continuing Professional Development activities and maintenance of a portfolio, which reflects personal development.
  • Extensive postgraduate experience as an MSK clinician, with the majority of experience at highly specialist clinical level.
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and meeting the continuous professional development requirements to remain on the register.
Working Arrangements

This role requires a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence and car ownership.
