About the Role:

This full-time role involves working closely with children diagnosed with autism, providing vital support and encouragement to help them succeed in an educational setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Offer individualized or small group assistance to children with autism.
  • Execute tailored educational plans (IEPs) that cater to each child's unique requirements.
  • Promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Employ effective techniques to manage and support challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain regular communication with educators, parents, and other professionals involved in the children's development.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring every student can engage and benefit.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children with autism or other special needs is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or child development are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
