About the Role

Butler Rose is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a first-class procurement service across the organization to drive value for money in terms of quality, price, and environmental impact through our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's Strategic Business Plan objectives and targets.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Suppliers: Foster strong relationships with partners and suppliers to increase impact and enhance the sustainability and viability of the supply chain.
  • Ensure Governance and Compliance: Lead on governance and legal compliance across all areas of the business, ensuring strong contract management is consistently in place.
  • Support Fleet and Stores Services: Assist in the management and efficient running of fleet and stores services, including staff management as required.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Work collaboratively with the Executive and Senior Management Team to develop strategic and tactical plans to deliver on the organization's purpose and ambitions.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of procurement processes and ensure the implementation of best practices across the organization.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a Supply Chain Strategy that ensures organizational value, efficiency, innovation, and alignment with the Strategic Business Plan.
  • Procurement Reporting: Provide regular procurement reporting to the Executive Management Team.
  • Engage with Partner Organizations: Lead on effective engagement with partner organizations to ensure projects achieve outcomes aligned to the Strategic Business Plan.
Requirements
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiation of major contracts.
  • People Management Skills: Good people management skills.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and experience of procurement under UK procurement regulations.
  • Contract Law Knowledge: Good understanding of Contract Law and application of the UK directives relating to procurement.
  • Procurement Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience of procurement gained with the Public or Private Sectors.
