Key Responsibilities- Lead Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's Strategic Business Plan objectives and targets.
- Collaborate with Partners and Suppliers: Foster strong relationships with partners and suppliers to increase impact and enhance the sustainability and viability of the supply chain.
- Ensure Governance and Compliance: Lead on governance and legal compliance across all areas of the business, ensuring strong contract management is consistently in place.
- Support Fleet and Stores Services: Support the management and efficient running of fleet and stores services, including staff management as required.
- Develop Strategic Plans: Work with the Executive and Senior Management Team to develop strategic and tactical plans to deliver on the organization's purpose and ambitions.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Lead on the continuous improvement and implementation of a first-class procurement service, ensuring it is delivered across the organization.
- Develop Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement the Supply Chain Strategy, ensuring organizational value, efficiency, innovation, and alignment with the Strategic Business Plan.
- Ensure Procurement Strategy Alignment: Ensure that procurement strategy contributes to the wider corporate and community strategy objectives, aligning with the Environmental, Social, and Governance commitments and aspirations.
- Lead Collaborative Approach: Lead on a collaborative approach to procurement across all spending categories and departments, managing relationships to ensure a cohesive and strategic focus through the best use of available resources.
- Develop Supply Chain Projects: Develop and implement Supply Chain projects in accordance with the needs of the business.
- Provide Procurement Reporting: Provide regular procurement reporting to the Executive Management Team.
- Engage with Partner Organizations: Lead on effective engagement with partner organizations to ensure projects achieve outcomes aligned to the Strategic Business Plan.
- Negotiation of Major Contracts: Track record in negotiation of major contracts.
- People Management Skills: Good people management skills.
- Procurement Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and experience of procurement under UK procurement regulations.
- Contract Law Knowledge: Good understanding of Contract Law and application of the UK directives relating to procurement.
- Procurement Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience of procurement gained with the Public or Private Sectors.
- Salary: £71,000.
- Benefits: Benefits package including enhanced leave and pension.
