Job Description

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in providing strategic and operational level purchasing support to the Residential Controls Segment. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Parts Purchasing: You will be responsible for purchasing direct materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to meet production needs.
  • Indirect Parts Purchasing and Management: You will oversee the procurement and management of indirect materials, including services and capital expenditures.
  • Purchasing Performance Reporting: You will analyze and report on purchasing performance metrics to inform business decisions.
  • Supplier Management: You will develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, price, and delivery performance.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects: You will represent the buying team on NPI projects, sourcing new components and materials to support product development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing role within a volume manufacturing plant.
  • High level of computer/ERP literacy, including knowledge of business reporting, forecasting, and financial systems.
  • Firm understanding of cross-functional inter-dependencies (operations, finance, supply chain).
  • Project and process management skills, including business process re-engineering methodologies.
  • Experience working on NPI project teams in the sourcing and selection of new components/materials.
  • Education to degree level in a related field, such as manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement.
