Sales and Business Development Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our client based on the outskirts of Swindon. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop knowledge of products, customers, and the marketplace to identify new business opportunities.
- Sales of the company's core products and other BIFG items alongside Bespoke Concrete.
- Maintain quote calendars and diaries to ensure timely and accurate quoting.
- Maintain and update prospect calendars to track potential leads.
- Review potential new product developments by staying alert to competitor offerings.
- Attend exhibitors and meet the buyer events to gain industry knowledge and contacts.
- Be aware of expected sales margins for each product and ensure quotations are within company capability.
- Quoting customers and following up to ensure timely and accurate sales.
- Research job opportunities by sector to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Support sales emails and customer contact, including folder creation, updates, preparation, risk review, finesse, sending, changing, and ordering.
- Attend pre-contract and site meetings to ensure smooth sales processes.
- Understand ideal customers and how they relate to the products to drive sales growth.
- Be aware of competitive activities in relevant market spaces to stay ahead of the competition.
- Manage and improve lead generation to drive sales growth.
- Review product gaps and new product development needs to stay ahead of the competition.
- Develop strong, loyal relationships with all relevant decision-makers to drive sales growth.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably required to support the sales team.
- Excellent administrative software skills.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively, independently, and within a team.
- Nice to have: experience in the construction or related industry, experience in sales or customer-facing activity, good mathematical approach, and competence in Excel.
- Holiday entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holidays.
- Additional long-service holidays at 5 and 10 years.
