We undertake over 2,000 designs annually across a diverse range of projects, making us one of the UK's largest Temporary Works designers. Our team of over 100 engineers possesses extensive experience in designing and checking Temporary Works for projects of all sizes and sectors.

The Role: Civil & Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with project teams to deliver a broad spectrum of civil and structural engineering services, encompassing both Temporary and Permanent Works.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and check Temporary Works structures, both above and below ground, across various materials. Integrate Temporary Works designs with Permanent Works where applicable.
  • Develop innovative solutions and value engineering proposals to enhance Kier's reputation for excellence and efficiency.
  • Support tendering and bid-winning activities by providing technical expertise on buildability, cost optimization, and design innovation.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and client specifications.

What We Look For:

We are seeking a candidate who possesses several years of post-graduate experience in civil or structural engineering. A strong interest in Temporary Works Design is highly desirable, along with a full UK driving license.
