Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer - Defence Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team at Assystem, where you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining vital Defence infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the robustness and security of our nation's critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Substantiation: Create and manage documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
  • Design Leadership: Justify and lead design changes and concessions.
  • Presentation and Communication: Communicate design justifications effectively to safety committees.
  • Maintenance Schedules: Develop and maintain schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.
  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical advice to stakeholders.
  • Independent Reviews: Conduct reviews to ensure compliance and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Essential Qualifications: HNC in Civil Engineering, Basic health and safety training.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Engineer status, Training in nuclear safety case development.
  • Experience: Civil/Structural Engineering experience, preferably within the UK nuclear industry.
