About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our Energy Water and Resources engineering team at Arup. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of projects within our major client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical guidance on projects, ensuring high-quality designs and delivery of client expectations.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for complex energy infrastructure projects.
  • Leadership and mentorship of junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development.
  • Development and maintenance of technical expertise in structural engineering, with a focus on water and power projects.
  • Contribution to business development and growth, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • MEng or MSc level in Civil Engineering or related subject, with Chartered Civil Engineer or Chartered Structural Engineer status.
  • Relevant experience in the technical design of civil structural elements, such as hydraulic structures, dams, and water schemes.
  • Experience with Eurocodes and British Standards, with a strong understanding of geotechnical and hydraulic design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural design software, including finite element analysis of concrete structures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
