About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at Chris Turner Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical design and analysis services to our clients in the regulated water sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical design and analysis solutions for new build and existing steel, reinforced above and below ground concrete civil structures.
  • Utilize structural analysis and design packages in accordance with local and national guidance.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, considering sustainability and safety throughout the design and asset lifecycle.
  • Effectively manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and programmes.
  • Lead and mentor junior colleagues, and identify new business prospects.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree up to MSc level in a relevant field.
  • Possess chartership status with a relevant professional institution.
  • Have relevant experience in the UK infrastructure sector, particularly in the water sector.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of structural engineering codes such as Eurocodes/BSI.
  • Have experience in RC design and detailing, particularly in water retaining structures, soil retaining structures, and foundation design.
  • Desirable experience includes steelwork design, geotechnics, and computational analysis techniques.
