Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Paralegal Support Specialist who possesses a diverse range of abilities and experience. As a vital member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to Clients, Partners, and Fee Earners.

The Paralegal Support Specialist will undertake a variety of responsibilities, playing a crucial role in delivering outstanding client service and assisting with all facets of private client matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position entails significant responsibility, including the drafting of legal documents, preparing correspondence with external parties, and engaging directly with clients through meetings, emails, and phone communications.
  • Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic individuals with prior experience in professional services. The successful applicant will collaborate within a supportive team and engage in:
  • Administration of estates, particularly those of high value and complexity, often involving international elements.
  • Preparation of estate planning and tax documentation.
  • Drafting of Wills.
  • Drafting of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Coordination of tasks and collaboration with fellow Paralegal Support Specialists to ensure that completed tasks are of high quality and accuracy, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, and are submitted to fee earners within established deadlines.
  • Participation in client meetings alongside fee earners.
  • Efficient management of mail and tasks.
  • This role is dynamic and fast-paced; you must be capable of working swiftly and accurately while fostering strong relationships with both the team and clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Engage actively in managing client relationships, ensuring maintenance of high service standards and delivering exceptional service to clients, including prompt communication with clients and fee earners.
  • Participate in Business Development and Client Service enhancement initiatives as required.

Financial and Billing Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Private Client Team in achieving financial objectives, including all aspects of billing and financial management in accordance with established procedures.

Business Support Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business support services across the organization, including marketing, finance, and business engagement.

Required Competencies:

  • Maintain an interest in and understanding of fundamental legal principles and procedures within the Private Client sector.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be a proactive team player who contributes positively to team success and morale.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style and approach as needed.
  • Possess proficient IT skills.
