Employment Type: Full-Time, 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday)

At SPEAR, we are committed to assisting individuals in Southwest London who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their homes. Our mission is to help them secure stable housing and work towards a brighter future.

As the need for support grows, we are dedicated to providing essential services to those facing challenges in affording basic necessities such as utilities, food, and rent, thereby preventing homelessness.

We offer a comprehensive range of accommodation and support services, ensuring that no one feels isolated during their difficult times.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Housing Support Specialist to join our team and contribute to our efforts in addressing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

As a Housing Support Specialist, you will:

  • Be accountable for delivering high-quality support services to individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable housing, in accordance with SPEAR's policies.
  • Provide a responsive, needs-based service to clients throughout their engagement with SPEAR.
  • Offer guidance, support, motivation, crisis intervention, and future planning tailored to the specific needs of service users, ensuring they can live independently.
  • Conduct assessments and manage casework for clients seeking support or resettlement, ensuring a cohesive approach to service delivery.
Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Housing Support Specialist, you should possess:

  • Experience in the homelessness or social care sector.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and management.
  • The ability to engage with clients who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
