The Paralegal Support Specialist will undertake various responsibilities, playing a crucial role in enhancing client service and assisting with all facets of private client matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- This position entails significant responsibility, including the preparation of legal documents, drafting correspondence with external parties, and engaging directly with clients through meetings, emails, and phone calls.
- The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with prior experience in professional services. You will collaborate within a supportive team and manage tasks such as:
- Administering estates, including complex high-value estates with international components.
- Compiling estate planning and tax documentation.
- Drafting legal Wills.
- Creating Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Registering Enduring Powers of Attorney.
- Submitting applications to the Court of Protection.
- Coordinating tasks and collaborating with fellow Paralegals to ensure that all work is of high quality and accuracy, meeting deadlines set by Fee Earners.
- Participating in client meetings alongside Fee Earners.
- Managing tasks and correspondence efficiently.
- This role is dynamic and fast-paced; you must be capable of working quickly and accurately while fostering strong relationships with both the team and clients.
Client Relationship Management:
- Engage actively in managing client relationships, ensuring the maintenance of high service standards and excellent client care.
- Approach client interactions with a service-oriented mindset, ensuring prompt communication with clients and Fee Earners.
- Occasionally participate in Business Development and Client Service enhancement initiatives.
Financial and Billing Responsibilities:
- Assist the Private Client Team in achieving financial objectives, including all aspects of billing and financial oversight in accordance with established procedures.
Administrative Support Duties:
Collaborate with business support services across the organization, including marketing, finance, and business engagement.
Required Competencies:
- Maintain an interest in and understanding of fundamental legal principles and procedures within the Private Client sector.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be a proactive team player who contributes positively to team morale and success.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style as needed.
- Possess proficient IT skills.
