Production Planning Coordinator

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with a 1pm finish on Fridays

Overview: The Production Administrator Planner will play a vital role in supporting the MPS Planning Team Leader. This position focuses on assisting in the organization and prioritization of production activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods for distribution while maintaining profitability. The aim is to facilitate a seamless and cost-effective production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release and expedite production orders manually, adjusting volumes as necessary.
  • Monitor production timelines, identifying and addressing delays while recalibrating priorities.
  • Plan and balance capacity to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to assess manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
  • Continuously seek and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Address issues promptly to minimize disruptions in production.
  • Coordinate workflows for one or multiple product lines.
  • Input sales orders into the ERP system and generate daily manufacturing orders.
  • Compile manufacturing documentation, including assembling packs for production cells.
  • Manage administrative communications and ensure accuracy in document packs.
  • Track output metrics such as finished product counts and defect rates.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports and organize related paperwork.
  • Work closely with quality control and warehouse teams.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in planning or scheduling within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong understanding of production planning methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with a focus on data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems for data interrogation and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
