Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook all meals to the specified standards and quantities, ensuring timely delivery to service areas.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, adhering to the Food Safety Act, including monitoring and documenting temperature controls and overall hygiene.
  • Uphold personal and team hygiene standards in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure budgetary compliance and efficient resource utilization, including stock management to minimize waste and achieve cost targets.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in good condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required by management.
  • Identify and pursue personal development opportunities.
  • Conduct all duties in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant industry standards.
  • Adhere to specific menu planning requirements while maintaining high service standards.
  • Assist in managing stock rotation and waste segregation to ensure food safety and cost efficiency.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, within your skill set, to support client services.

Qualifications:

  • City and Guilds (or equivalent) 706/1 and 706/2 certifications.
  • At least 3 years of relevant culinary experience.
  • Basic food hygiene certification.
