Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, including conveyor systems, bearing, linkages, mechanisms, packaging machinery, and other 3-phase machinery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and is delivered on time.
- Provide practical, creative, and cost-effective solutions to design change and modification.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and cost restraints.
- Travel worldwide as necessary to gain engineering information and provide technical support to customers and internal sales/service departments.
- Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng or MEng - Mechanical based rather than BSc Product Design / Manufacturing Design etc.).
- Experience of a Design Software (e.g. 2D: AutoCAD, 3D: Inventor, Solid Works, Catia or equivalent).
- 8-10 years' experience in a design role in an industrial environment.
- Recent experience of design engineering work (not just reverse engineering or project management).
- Must speak clear, fluent English (written and verbal).
- Must be free to travel worldwide with no restrictions.
- Experience with Autodesk Vault v2015 onwards.
- Relevant design experience with sheet metal work / electro/mechanical machinery / special purpose machinery for mechanical handling processes.
- Foreign language ability.
