About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Mane Contract Services. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electro-mechanical mechanisms and precision machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead within a small, multidisciplinary project design team to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet cost, time, and quality requirements.
  • 3D CAD Design: Lead the creation of designs using SolidWorks software, ensuring accuracy and precision in all design outputs.
  • Engineering Analysis: Collaborate with the team to conduct classical engineering analysis on designs, including stress, fatigue, and vibration assessments using traditional methods and computer simulations.
  • Lab Testing: Conduct laboratory testing to verify and validate design outputs against design inputs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Documentation: Lead the development of engineering reports to support new product designs, failure investigations, and other formal documentation required to meet customer needs.
  • System Integration: Work with broader engineering teams to incorporate electronic, control, and drive systems into equipment designs, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Project Management: Take charge of ensuring the timely delivery of outputs within established deadlines, collaborating with project managers and sales teams to estimate design activity timelines and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
Requirements
  • Expertise in electro-mechanical mechanisms and precision machinery.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software and other relevant design tools.
