Join Our Team as a Senior Maintenance Engineering Technician

Become a vital part of the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and enhancing the technology that supports our Global Warehouse & Delivery Network.

We are in search of a dedicated team member who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys engaging with various departments. Your role will involve:

  • Ensuring effective shift organization while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Maintaining equipment to a high standard in a timely manner.
  • Promoting a culture of safety within the team and aiding in the enhancement of quality and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Supporting project initiatives and managing vendor relationships.
  • Driving continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with management and team members.

Shift Pattern: This position requires flexibility, including potential night and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modeling health and safety best practices and ensuring compliance among team members.
  • Demonstrating hands-on expertise with all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the facility.
  • Coaching and mentoring peers on best practices.
  • Acting as the primary RME contact for the site.
  • Ensuring high equipment availability through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
  • Contributing to the standardization of systems across the EU network.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Understanding Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and performance metrics.
  • Managing contractor activities effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience in Base Building Maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and influence team members.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects and workloads simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors.
  • Background in a multi-site operational environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
