About Service Care Solutions
We are a leading provider of maintenance and engineering services to the manufacturing industry, and we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to take on a leadership role in our Mechanical Engineering department, working closely with our production operations and senior management to drive process improvements and increase machine reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Mechanical Engineering department, consisting of approximately 25 individuals and contractors, to ensure the highest levels of productivity and reactive maintenance.
- Develop and implement the Mechanical Engineering strategy, maintenance and overhaul plan, in line with company objectives.
- Manage the Mechanical Maintenance budget and review maintenance data to drive reliability improvements and OEE.
- Organize and manage all planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the highest level of productivity and reactive maintenance.
- Identify and manage CI projects across the department, working closely with the HSE team to maintain and promote a safe operating culture.
- Manage and drive CAPEX and Operational Excellence projects across the department and site, working closely with production operations and senior management.
- Support the HSE team to maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring all aspects of installation and maintenance are undertaken to the highest levels of safety and meet all legal and statutory requirements and company procedures.
- Liaison with external contacts and bodies, including suppliers, contractors and external agencies, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years of these gained at a Supervisory / Management level.
- Apprentice trained or qualified to minimum HNC level in a practical Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance discipline, with additional Mechanical Engineering degree highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive change management.
- Continuous Improvement mindset, ideally with experience of driving CI and Operational Excellence projects, and previous experience within Industrial Manufacturing environments highly desirable.
