About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our established and supportive multi-disciplinary team in the Buckinghamshire Adult Autism Diagnostic and Intervention Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision and development of the SLT component of the Bucks Adult Autism Diagnostic and Intervention Service.
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic and intervention assessments, and plan and implement programmes of care for autistic individuals, individually and in group settings.
  • Use evidence-based practice, providing specialist clinical advice to others regarding the management and care of patients with communication differences.
  • Develop and evaluate education and training for all professionals and team members in the ASD and other relevant teams in communication and SLT interventions.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team assessments and participate in the supervision of Speech and Language Therapists, assistants, and volunteers.
