Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Thoracic Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance our team within the Women's and Children's Division at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. This pivotal role will focus on the proficient management of the newly established Children and Young People's Gender Service (South West) alongside other pediatric medical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operational management of service areas, ensuring effective collaboration with clinical and multidisciplinary teams to optimize core service delivery.
  • Work in partnership with clinical and administrative personnel to maximize clinic capacity, ensuring patient treatment aligns with clinical requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes to monitor and evaluate performance metrics within services.
  • Ensure that necessary facilities and resources are available to meet service demands, including the assessment and management of spatial requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and standardized procedures relevant to the role, ensuring compliance with Trust guidelines.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by formulating actionable plans that align with both service and Trust objectives.
  • Manage data analysis to provide the management team with timely and accurate insights on key performance indicators.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing performance and service delivery, collaborating with Trust performance teams as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication with other departments and Trust members to support the seamless operation of the service.
