Job Overview


The role of the Consumer Product Strategy Analyst III involves executing intricate analyses and modeling techniques aimed at reducing loss exposure while enhancing the customer experience. This position requires the use of various analytical tools, including Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational databases, to deliver insightful analytical support for strategic initiatives, ensuring objectives are achieved, and recommending policy and procedural modifications within segmentation frameworks to yield optimal outcomes. The Analyst will evaluate data to identify potential fraud risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose strategies to assist the business in achieving targeted results and making informed decisions based on data analysis.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of financial models, market data, and portfolio trends to assess product performance and enhance portfolio risk, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation of product performance reports and updates for executive management.
  • Identify and communicate business trends influenced by economic and portfolio conditions.
  • Utilize knowledge across various business and technical domains to independently evaluate and communicate risks and opportunities related to large-scale projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business partners within the Line of Business and associated organizations, including Finance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to leverage data and metrics to uncover root causes.
  • Fundamental understanding of first and third-party fraud mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and communication capabilities.
  • In-depth financial knowledge and comprehension of fraud loss drivers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS or SQL, along with experience in e-Ledger and Enterprise GL tools.
  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced studies in finance, accounting, or business management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fraud analysis or analytical/financial roles, preferably within Payment Card or Retail Banking Finance.
  • Exceptional quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Confidence in finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership.
  • Capability to engage with executive-level personnel across the organization with professionalism.
  • Proficient in presenting, leading, supporting, and influencing senior management and business stakeholders.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes.
  • Leadership and management skills, including team and individual development.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive in identifying, analyzing, and enhancing existing processes for optimization to meet deadlines.
