Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Events Assistant to join our team at Stockport Council. As an Events Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our events program, working closely with the Stockport Events Team to ensure the smooth operation of events at various venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Support the operational delivery of events, including setup, coordination, and execution
  • Assist with event stewarding, bar and food service, cleaning duties, and other tasks as required
  • Respond to enquiries and provide information to clients and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the Hospitality supervisors and event coordinators to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of event concepts and ideas
  • Participate in the planning and execution of events, including logistics, catering, and audio-visual requirements
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
