Job Title: Estates Service Desk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Estates Service Desk Manager to join our team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates department, you will be responsible for managing the Service Desk and ensuring that all service requests are processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Estates Maintenance Service Desk to ensure that all service requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the performance of service providers and ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and service level standards for the Service Desk to deliver outstanding client service.
  • Collate information and produce reports on contractor and fabric maintenance Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Service Desk team to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Be responsible for completing department sickness reviews, managing annual leave, staff appraisals, and performance reviews.
  • Manage department budgets and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Practical experience of working in an engineering/estates Service Desk at management/supervisor level.
  • CAFM systems management/operation.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and word processors such as Excel and Word.
  • Experience in office management.
  • Good computer/keyboard skills including Word, Excel, and specialist programmes.
  • Able to effectively communicate with senior management including meaningful management reports.
  • Understanding of the workings of an NHS hospital.
  • Knowledge of Estates management procedures.
