About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as a Customer Relationship Manager, where you will play a key role in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers to meet business objectives and maximize income earned through performance regimes, business expansion opportunities, and minimizing contractual payments.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the contractual relationship with customers on all issues, including performance, access conditions, access agreements, invoicing, and claims.
- Act as an arbitrator to resolve commercial and other disputes in a way that maintains customer relationships.
- Communicate and challenge within and outside Network Rail's organization to ensure customer contractual rights are met.
- Manage the delivery of Joint Performance Improvement Plans (JPIPs) specific to customers.
- Lead all negotiations on changes to customers' Track Access Contracts.
- Manage the contractual elements of customers' Track Access Contract performance regimes to minimize payments and identify opportunities for improving processes.
- Hold responsibility for both Network Rail's compliance and customers' compliance with the terms of contractual agreements.
- Develop and deliver all income streams relating to customers.
- Assist the Customer Relationship Executive in delivering customer requirements.
- Identify, manage, and deliver improvement projects for both customers and Network Rail.
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a commercial environment.
- Commercially astute, persuasive, and customer-focused.
- Proven ability to negotiate in a complex commercial environment.
- Knowledge of relevant contracts and contractual environment.
- Substantial experience of managing contractual relationships.
- Literate, analytical, and numerate.
- Effective team leader with proven presentational and interpersonal skills.
