About the Role:
Harris Hill is excited to partner with a prominent health charity in the search for a dedicated Events and Conference Coordinator. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, both within the organization and externally, while leading a team to execute exceptional and impactful events, including gala dinners, professional engagement gatherings, and sporting events.


Key Responsibilities:
As the Events and Conference Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee the strategic planning, relationship management, and creative execution of the charity's comprehensive events portfolio, which encompasses both internal and external conferences, as well as fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Manage high-value event partnerships, including committees, while implementing a strategic approach to enhance and expand unrestricted income.
  • Lead the events team in delivering a diverse range of conferences, stewardship, cultivation, and acquisition events, ensuring that our esteemed supporters and professional audiences remain engaged and inspired.
  • Drive the growth of fundraising revenue through special events across the organization.
  • Demonstrate expertise in project management and the creation of high-quality, income-generating events and conferences within a charitable context.
  • Supervise special events teams, event committees, and volunteers effectively.
  • Manage events from inception to completion, including oversight of project budgets and expenditures.
  • Show a proven track record of securing and developing new initiatives (events, income, and supporters).
  • Possess a solid understanding of supporter databases, data protection, and best practices in fundraising.
  • Exhibit excellent relationship-building skills with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Effectively manage all event operations on-site, confidently coordinating, leading, and directing teams of staff and volunteers.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of partners across the charitable, private, or public sectors.
  • Be proficient in using the Microsoft software suite.

Contract Type:
This is a permanent position, available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
