Position:
Bilingual Technical Support Specialist
Salary: £42,000 to £44,000 per annum, including private healthcare, life insurance, and 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
Working Hours: 08:45 – 17:15, Monday to Friday
TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Bilingual Technical Support Specialist fluent in Spanish. This role is particularly suitable for individuals with a background in full-time field service who are looking for a more stable in-house position.

Comprehensive training will be provided to all employees.

You will receive in-house training in production processes to familiarize yourself with the product range, observing the flow of materials from receipt to assembly (both electrical/electronic and mechanical), testing (including system testing, analysis, and troubleshooting), and dispatch.

Responsibilities include providing customer support via telephone, email, or other available technologies, as well as advanced remote troubleshooting using specialized monitoring tools.

  • Conducting electrical fault diagnosis, interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics, with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Performing mechanical fault diagnosis, interpreting 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, and understanding measurements and tolerances.
  • Software proficiency - Familiarity with various types of HMI and the ability to communicate effectively with others for remote operations.
  • Briefing service technicians prior to scheduled tasks and coordinating with them on-site regarding faults, installations, and service visits.
  • Gathering commissioning information and release codes, and updating the database accordingly.
  • Utilizing your language skills to communicate with relevant customers as needed.
Qualifications include:
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds Level 1, 2, & 3, HNC/HND, or NVQ Level 2 or above).
  • Prior experience in electrical fault diagnosis (either on-site or remotely).
  • Strong customer service communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel).
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Proficient in clear and fluent English, including technical terminology.
Additional desirable skills:
  • Field service experience (traveling for work within the UK or internationally).
  • Proficiency in other foreign languages (preferably Portuguese, German, French, or Italian).
  • Knowledge of PCBs and PLCs (including program uploads and fault record interrogation).
  • A valid manual driving license.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
