About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Crime Support Specialist to join our team at Victim Support. As a Crime Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to victims of crime, helping them navigate the complex criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and practical support to victims of crime, including information and guidance on the criminal justice process.
  • Conduct needs and risk assessments with victims to identify their support needs and develop a tailored support plan.
  • Manage and update victim records in accordance with GDPR and safeguarding regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local partnerships, other agencies, and community groups to ensure victims receive comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to show empathy and deal with difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems, with the ability to learn new software and technology.
