Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate under supervision to manage a diverse caseload of patients with intricate needs, performing advanced nursing assessments and addressing complex health issues within the Rheumatology specialty.
  • Provide superior care to individuals suffering from musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Develop, sustain, and enhance a productive clinical learning environment through exemplary role modeling, leadership, and excellence in practice, while also leading training and educational initiatives.

Job Duties

Under guidance, assist in managing the specialist rheumatology nurse caseload, both within the department and in peripheral locations.

Work collaboratively to assess the psychological, physiological, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients concerning their conditions and treatment plans, ensuring a comprehensive nursing care pathway.

Support patients in making informed decisions alongside the specialist rheumatology nurse.

Perform procedures such as injections in accordance with established protocols, and agree on modifications to clinical practices as necessary.

Contribute to the ongoing supervision and education of the self-administration of subcutaneous Methotrexate, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.

Required Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven post-registration experience in nursing.
  • BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing.
  • Completion of a Preceptorship Programme.
