Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietetic Support Specialist to join our team at Ailsa Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to our Dietitians, working closely with our Assistant Practitioner to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dietitians in providing nutrition and dietetic care to patients, both inpatients and in the community.
  • Play a crucial role in promoting nutrition and hydration among patients, particularly those with mental health conditions.
  • Assist in the education and training of staff, patients, and carers on nutrition-related topics.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and quality improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Manage stock control and prepare orders for nutritional products.

Requirements

  • Hold a SVQ 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in nutrition and hydration.
  • Have experience using electronic systems, such as Microsoft Word.
  • Exhibit excellent time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position, working 22.75 hours per week. A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence and car ownership are essential for this role.
