About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our busy Community/Primary Care East Ayrshire Dietetic team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills working in community services as part of an established, cohesive, and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an evidence-based dietetic service to a range of clinical specialties within a community hospital, domiciliary, care home, and outpatient clinic caseload.
  • Manage your own caseload and contribute to the department's shared caseload, with opportunities for experience and development in a wide range of clinical areas.
  • Work collaboratively with dietitians, a dietetic assistant practitioner, and a dietetic support worker to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in dietetics to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Hold an honours degree or postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Have experience in community dietetics, with evidence of competencies and skills required to deliver this post, including good interpersonal skills, excellent team working and organisational skills, robust time management and prioritisation skills, and self-motivation.
