NHS Ayrshire & Arran is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dietetic Support Specialist to join our team at Ailsa Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dietitians in providing nutrition and dietetic support to individuals on the Mental Health Dietitians caseload.
  • Contribute to the education of staff, patients, and carers on nutrition and hydration practices.
  • Assist in the monitoring and promotion of nutrition within the population group.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop resources within the team.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including updating patient records and managing stock control.

Requirements

  • SVQ 2 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in nutrition and hydration, with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Competence in using electronic systems, such as Microsoft Word.

Working Hours and Requirements

  • 22.75 hours per week.
  • UK driving license and car ownership are essential for this role.
