Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom Oxford University Hospitals Full time
Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Clinical Specialist to become a vital member of our Radiophysics team. This role is essential in delivering support to radiopharmaceutical services across multiple departments, including oncology, nuclear medicine, and PET/CT imaging, as well as nuclear cardiology and laboratory services.

Main Responsibilities
Applicants for this position should be registered Clinical Specialists or in the process of obtaining registration.

The successful candidate will deliver clinical, scientific, and technical assistance to the aforementioned services and will actively participate in the MRT dosimetry program.

Additionally, there will be strong encouragement to engage in research and development initiatives and contribute to radiation safety support.

Experience in a clinical environment is crucial; however, candidates with limited experience may be considered for a position at a lower level.

Working with Our Organization

Our team supports advanced imaging technologies, including SPECT gamma cameras (with CT), PET/CT scanners, and a state-of-the-art digital cardiac scanner.

The existing gamma cameras and PET/CT systems are scheduled for an upgrade to the latest technology shortly. The clinical services we support offer a diverse array of radionuclide therapies and both diagnostic imaging and non-imaging assessments. Furthermore, our group plays a significant role in providing radiation safety support to all departments utilizing radioisotopes.

Our section also contributes to numerous clinical trials, including innovative PET and SPECT tracers and new therapeutic approaches.

Our team maintains strong collaborative partnerships with various industry stakeholders, making this an excellent opportunity to join a large, collaborative group with robust research connections.
