Oncology & Haematology Triage Assessment Area

Clinical Assessment and Triage Role

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to oncology and haematology patients via telephone and video assessments
  • Ensure early recognition of potential emergencies, treatment complications, and provision of follow-up structure
  • Assess and monitor patients prior to a decision to send the patient home or admit to a ward as appropriate
Requirements
  • Experienced registered nurse with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Keen to learn and take on new clinical skills
  • Telephone and video assessment skills are vital in this role
  • Ability to use own initiative and judgement to resolve issues
  • Tactful, sensitive manner, work well under pressure, with a flexible approach
