Job Title: Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in leadership and management, education, and research.

About the Role

We are looking for a pharmacist with a strong background in clinical practice and a passion for leadership and education. As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical pharmacy services, leading and managing a team of pharmacists, and contributing to the development of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists to achieve departmental goals
  • Contribute to the development of our pharmacy department through education and research
  • Participate in extended hours, including late nights and weekend dispensary support
Person Specification

We are looking for a pharmacist with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy
  • GPhC registration
  • Sound knowledge of a surgical or medical specialty acquired working within a suitable specialty
  • Meets Foundation framework/ GLF competencies
  • Audit and evaluative work
  • Sound understanding of healthcare priorities and political agendas
  • Experience of teaching and tutoring
