About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Sales Manager to contribute to our client's continued growth and success. Our client is a leading drainage and plumbing company based in the UK, operating mainly in the commercial sector within a 100-mile radius of London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a sales team of up to 4 Business Development Managers (BDMs) to drive new business development and expand our business reach.
  • Hold weekly meetings with BDMs and provide monthly reports to the Director to ensure accurate sales activity records and effective team management.
  • Actively participate in monthly Board meetings to discuss business growth strategies and sales performance.
  • Recruit and interview new BDMs to strengthen the sales team and drive business growth.
  • Drive new business development through cold calling, client relationship management, and sales meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and client entertainment events.
  • Oversee the CRM system to ensure accurate sales activity records and provide valuable insights for business growth.
  • Prepare account documentation and client information packs to support sales efforts and client relationships.
  • Work closely with both the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and effective business operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in the plumbing, drainage, or construction sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills at all business levels, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated with strong management capabilities, including leadership, delegation, and motivation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online portals, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent references and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Business acumen, strong organisational skills, and the ability to delegate and motivate.
