Autism Support Specialist for Early Years Foundation Stage

Location: Primary School
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Type: Permanent
A reputable educational institution is seeking an experienced Autism Support Specialist to provide individualized support to a pupil with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) class.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 121 support to the pupil with ASD in the EYFS class
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Assist the pupil with communication development and social skills
- Support the pupil during lessons and activities to ensure their inclusion and engagement
Requirements:
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD, either personally or professionally
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Availability to work Thursday and Friday
