Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher to join our team as a supply teacher. As a supply teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of early years settings, including nurseries, preschools, and reception classes, covering short-term absences or providing additional support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Learning Environment: Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with young learners, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning community.

  • Policy Implementation: Support the implementation of school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and safeguarding protocols.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and pedagogy, including play-based learning and child-centered approaches.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young children.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to work in different early years settings and with children of varying ages and abilities.
  • Certification: Current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one.
