About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide objective occupational health advice to support the effective management of our workforce.
  • Offer advice and support to individuals, managers, and the organisation to enable effective health management throughout the workforce.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of employees' health and fitness as it relates to their role and work within the organisation.
  • Ensure that appointments are available in person, phone, or video conferencing as required.
  • Travel to alternative locations across the organisation to facilitate clinics and appointments.
  • Undertake health surveillance in line with legal requirements.
  • Obtain specialist reports when necessary and liaise with physicians, physiotherapists, and counsellors to provide comprehensive OH reports.
  • Provide clinical advice into the recruitment and selection of employees.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered General Nurse holding current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Occupational Health Degree.
  • Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner Status – Part 3 NMC.
  • Trained in health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.

Essential Experience:

  • Evidence of significant clinical experience.
  • Ability to keep clear, accurate records.
  • Occupational Health experience.
