About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Advisor to join our team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing objective advice to support the effective management of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical assessments of employees' health and fitness for their roles, maintaining clinical objectivity and impartiality.
• Ensure appointments are available in person, by phone, or via Teams, as required.
• Travel to alternative locations across the Constabulary to facilitate clinics and appointments.
• Conduct health surveillance in line with legal requirements.
• Obtain specialist reports and liaise with physicians, physiotherapists, and counsellors to provide comprehensive OH reports.
• Provide clinical advice on the recruitment and selection of police officers and staff.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
• Occupational Health Degree and Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner Status – Part 3 NMC.
• Trained in health surveillance, including audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
• Significant clinical experience and ability to keep clear, accurate records.
