About the Role

As an Occupational Health Specialist with the Shared Services Partnership, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective management of our workforce. Your primary responsibility will be to provide objective occupational health advice to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine an individual's fitness for work and provide recommendations for return to work or rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement health surveillance programs to identify and mitigate potential health risks.
  • Collaborate with managers and employees to provide guidance on workplace health and safety practices.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in workplace health and safety.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on workplace health and safety best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner Status – Part 3 NMC.
  • Trained in health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
  • Significant clinical experience in occupational health.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
