Your Role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary Range: £39,832 to £43,815
Note: Near Vision and Colour Deficiency Tests will be conducted as part of the Interview process.

We provide a robust production support service package for Leonardo Helicopters, which includes standard logistics activities such as goods receipt, quality evaluation, storage, and picking & packing. Our strategically located centers ensure seamless service from storage to fitment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on aircraft components, ground support equipment, and raw materials.
  • Assist customer initiatives with suppliers and perform inspection/audit functions at supplier locations.
  • Examine products upon receipt in accordance with customer inspection plans.
  • Generate Quality notifications for any non-conforming products.
  • Re-inspect and assess items that have surpassed their current stock life limits.
  • Carry out dispatch inspections adhering to customer or contractual specifications.
  • Review departmental procedures regularly.
  • Utilize relevant inspection tools, software, drawings, and models.
  • Support the resolution of Quality notifications.
  • Engage with customer and supplier representatives as well as the customer’s quality department.
  • Operate the customer’s SAP system.
  • Provide training to colleagues.
  • Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and initiate re-calibration when necessary.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • A relevant four-year engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of machining principles and assembly techniques.
  • Understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with treatments applied to raw materials.
  • Comprehension of the concession process.
  • Acquainted with unqualified, interim, and fully qualified components in the context of aircraft production.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external customers.
