Your Role

Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £39,832 to £43,815

Kuehne+Nagel offers a production support service package for Leonardo Helicopters, covering essential logistics activities such as goods receipt, quality assessment, storage, and picking & packing. Our strategically located centers ensure efficient service delivery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on aircraft components, ground support equipment, and raw materials.
  • Assist customer initiatives with suppliers and perform inspection/audit functions at vendor locations.
  • Examine products upon receipt according to customer inspection protocols.
  • Generate Quality notifications for any non-conforming items.
  • Reassess and extend the life of items that have surpassed current stock life limits.
  • Execute dispatch inspections in line with customer or contractual specifications.
  • Review departmental procedures for compliance and efficiency.
  • Utilize relevant inspection tools, software, drawings, and models.
  • Support the resolution of Quality notifications.
  • Engage with customer and supplier representatives, as well as the customer’s quality department.
  • Operate the customer’s SAP system effectively.
  • Provide training to colleagues as necessary.
  • Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and initiate recalibration when required.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Completion of a relevant 4-year engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of machining principles and assembly techniques.
  • Familiarity with NDT processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of treatments applied to raw materials.
  • Awareness of the concession process.
  • Experience with unqualified, interim, and fully qualified components in aircraft production.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external customers.
